My music / movie taste is quite versatile; Accordingly, my requirements for a total of more balanced sound: bass (and only at issue in this review) should not be too dominant but not too lean or washed out. When I listen to music (electronic, soul, rock and metal, Urban ....), I want to hear the voices clearly; should also be taught as realistic in movies (emphasis thriller and action, horror), but the mood / action scenes -> I imagine under the remit of such a Lowest-Töners.

The build quality is impeccable. Presumably Plastic-coated MDF, a very tough satin uniform surface which feels comfortable, clean edges, the removable front grille is made clean and can be removed, behind the visible power indicator LED. 4 large feet; the AS15 had plastic spikes. At the front, the membrane and the flow opening is visible; when AS15SC only the opening. The final stage is called a digital amplifier, the older of AS15SC a conventional technology. The difference is mainly located in a lower quiescent current; for other differences, I am not sufficiently familiar with the technology. The end stage terminal offers no cause for criticism, all meticulously crafted. The knobs have fine clicks instead of continuously, screw terminals are solid, "real" power switch and seperate Netkabel socket are available. Turns on request at signal input automatically -> Very pleasant. Phase shift to 180 degrees is possible, plus a further adjustment that I have not been thoroughly tested. The power is given by 100/150 Watt; that of the previous AS15SC with 50/100. For me, the volume is running on the center position -> In my configuration perfectly adequate / just right. Everything labeled clean, clear, not frills, but you (I) also miss anything. Overall, for the selling price properly; acts in my opinion even more significant. Labeled as Made in Germany; I like to read because I live here and work even ;-)
Compare:
As mentioned before: In my own 4 walls far as compared to only "AS15SC", this unknown friend in their mainly diverse Canton and JBL type earlier in the vehicle several retrofit solutions etc. -> The usual probably.
Please note: Depending on the location, room size, setting, mixing the source signal / recording, personal hearing ... the personal impression varies greatly from person to person!
Compared to the 85.2 AS15SC in dimensions is very similar; he thought would be greater, for me this is more of a plus.
The AS15SC was in standby mode constantly, even the faintest sound of itself; of not 85.2. The 15SC looked from the outside a bit plain. Processing at the same level. Guest listener - also "interested laymen audio" how I :-) - were always sounds all agree that the bass of my AS15SC with me very pleasant and balanced. The 85.2 now sounds just as balanced; However, even a little fuller and more versatile, as a whole simply "potent" and goes a little deeper, yet still subtle nuances can be heard; not only diffuse loud muttering.
Conclusion:
I am very pleased with the 85.2; my expectations of a slightly more powerful modern product with low cost and gefällligem design and processing were fully met. For "More Bass" (the of 85.2 could provide me loose with security) within the meaning ienes larger / stronger / more expensive model I have no need. Strong buy recommendation.
