Since I benefit much from reviews I would now like to pass on my experience.
I find it surprisingly difficult to find a headband headphones for home or an in-ear for unterwegszu which suits my taste. That warm sound with beautiful space, high, mid and lower frequency range to be reproduced reasonably neutral. Without strong emphasis on a critical band. He is said to have bass, his deep bass, but not coordinated with exaggerated dark as a whole, as it is fashionable in today's zeitgeist. So please with crystal-clear highs, because they are greatly reduced in most headphones.
I hear electronic music (indie) pop (indie) rock (Symphonic) Metal, Industrial, Jazz, Downtempo, Trip Hop, Ambient, Lounge.
Mainly in AAC 256 kbit / s from the iPhone or Sony Z3c. They've been a decent audio output.
The problem is that each person takes a different sound was and has different preferences, each player is music different. And then there's the song quality of CD, lossless or lossy music (mp3, AAC). I can only advise everyone: Test results and postings read but not buy alone after that but myself Pre-listening, listening, listening. In Ears are considered hygiene articles, since an exchange is usually impossible if not satisfied.
So far in homework tested headphones and earphones, in addition a number of retail outlets. Some reviews are still pending:
AIAIAI TMA-1X, AKG K551, Apple apple earbuds, the Audio Technica ATH-m50x, Beyerdynamic T51i, B & W P3 + P5 + P7 + C5, Bose Tripod + MIE2i, Denon AH-D600, Fischer Audio FA-011, Harman Kardon CL + NC + NI + AE + Soho, KEF M500, Koss Porta Pro, Marshall Minor, NAD VISO HP20 + HP50, Sennheiser Momentum Over Ear + On Ear, Sennheiser Amperior, Shure SE115m, Shure SRH-940, Sony MDR-1A, Takstar HI2050, Ultrasone HFI 15G
The headphone market is a very lucrative. So now also rising pure pit or high-end equipment manufacturers such as B & W, KEF NAD or in the production in order to cut off a piece of the pie.
But going on:
Packing:
A simple but nice slipcase with a somewhat cheap plastic insert from injection. A handy travel bag is included. Likewise, a beautiful clothing clip, an adapter for airplane and a jack for small to large.
Optics / Material / Design:
The earphone is simple but dibasic. The housing of lacquered aluminum is quite large, but surprisingly light. The flat cable looks like a limp noodle cooked, but is not so stubborn and luckily also protected against tangles. The HP20 is not completely decoupled, but a little better than most in Ears, still nervous the abrasive noise. The plug is made of plastic (aluminum would be more appropriate) has an angled surface, which I think is good, it prevents the risk of fracture before better. The remote control is made of plastic, unfortunately, not aluminum. The would have liked a bit more could sit deeper and blind not optimal, but still good to use. 5 pairs of silicone pads, whereby 1 pair apparently has the identical size.
Head Office:
As stated on all In Ears, either one has the right ears or not. I unfortunately only one, the other is reluctant to always, at all In Ears so, except for Bose and B & W C5 because of the special fixation in the auricle. The NAD has to be introduced very deeply, then it goes. They sit quite comfortably for hours without pressing. But is not the optimal form. When walking it lasts long and stable and shielded well from outside noise. Those looking for better grip, to buy the Comply Foam, series 200th
Sound:
Now for the most important criterion. Excited I was to the flamboyant marketing promise of Room Feel technology, supposed to be a sound perception as the room with 2 boxes. And for such a small in-ear? Is that physically at all? So now the direct comparison with my current favorites, the B & W C5. The first, rock and quite bass heavy songs both play very similar. Next, electric, but there is the difference, and what a. The NAD climbs the scale getting higher and higher. With crystal clear, very present heights that are perhaps a little too strong for some listeners, as before pointed hunt ear and can scare genuine, since you these high frequencies rarely experienced at other In Ears. But the high places shall not be borne by central and bass that are just as strong. Incredibly, I've never heard an in-ear with such a sound volume and a so-present, clear sound, and indeed over the entire frequency band. He is not completely neutral, but still considerably more neutral than most, today's zeitgeist corresponding headphones, all of which are cropped in the heights and have a much too dominant bass. But despite the strong heights he still sounds surprisingly warm as color to present high tones often the sound analytical and hard. Not here. The C5 sounds a bit warmer, but is also designed darker and somewhat dull and spongy in comparison. Even in the deepest bass is the NAD. Although he is no bass spinner, but has him sufficiently, even somewhat lower than the C5. The NAD is sometimes very deep, but only subtly. An immensely impressive sound spectrum with a wonderful detail. And very powerful and compelling. Exactly I otherwise always missed this push. I previously thought the C5 also because of all the previous earbuds and headphones (also much more expensive) put in the shade. Now I was disabused. Always when an even better come to recognize the weaknesses of others. He is so rich in detail that he also poor song quality clearly presents the listener with heavily compressed songs you can hear it on the noise in quiet passages or hissing heights and tilt slightly, especially in classical music.
Now what advertised Room Feel? The C5 has a In Ear an amazing spatial depth, he is not completely closed, but has a semi-open design (which can be on the road annoying for the listener and the others). The VISO is closed. He plays for a really in-ear space, more than any in Ears, I know, but I have since just a tad bit more expected, eventually promotes NAD amplifies it. And B & W has also hinbekommen without external acoustic research laboratory. Wherein never come close in Ears to open clam handset.
The NAD can be very loud belongs to mobile devices.
Conclusion:
An earphone in simple, yet valent elegance with a very long, detailed and fascinating sound. The very present highs are probably not for everyone. Nevertheless, he has a deep, tight bass, but for real Bass Heads he is probably too little. It just makes it fun to hear him because he plays absolutely clear and beautiful airy. The Room Feel technology is clearly perceptible, but I would have expected a little more. Too bad that the cable is not completely decoupled (microphonic) that get other but also towards (Bose, Shure, Marshall). With additional essays of Comply Foam can mitigate the problem somewhat. For me the best KH, I could hear so far.
