The new leader (goodbye G700)

Hello everybody,
have now each the G700 and the Roccat Kone XTD can test for good 3 months extensively.
As the title of the review may have been betrayed so many attentive readers, I am
come to me quite clear result.
But I want to shoot not just any unfounded statement in the room, but also to explain how I
have come to the conclusion that the Roccat Kone XTD exceeds the Logitech G700 in terms of functionality and quality.
As part of this review, I do not want a detailed comparison list, but main focus describe the Roccat mouse,
more for G700 will then be read soon in another review.
But now we come to the real part, as always nice note form for the piece Laser (this unprofessional pun may be granted to me):

Packaging the Roccat Kone XTD: 5/5
Here, there is absolutely nothing to complain about, the box already shows that it is a product of the upper class.
Style true to scale, noble Roccat design with attractive components. Detachable Roccat logo on the side, front hinged box.
Back and front again lists all the functions of the mouse.
(By comparison, the Logitech variant is certainly packed a bit more discreet, but also the packaging of the G700 100% fulfilled its purpose)

Roccat Kone XTD of delivery: 5/5
Also on board are the mouse itself, a decent box of hard plastic, including 4 * 5 gram weights and a Quick Start Manual.
The scope of supply is certainly limited to the essentials, is dispensed with comical Sticker (see Apple & SteelSeries) and annoying advertising,
Some may like to criticize that no driver CD is available, but I personally think this is not tragic, because I anyway for the latest driver
must consult the (clear) website (also with driver CD).
(The G700 also do not know, however, much more to accessories will also be limited to the essentials - mouse, charger, receiver, Verkängerungskabel for radio receivers, however, measures

Buyer My main focus was both in the Kone XTD, as well as the G700 that its ergonomic shape a more relaxed hand position even during long gaming sessions
promised. On this point, both of which lie on approximately the same. Both in Kone and in the G700, the basic shape is almost exactly that of a relaxed human hand
and this shape makes it much more pleasant to use than, for example, the Logitech G9x, the Razer Lachesis or the Thermaltake Level 10m.
However, the Kone placed in my opinion before G700 due to its genius coating. The Kone is a real flatterer! A super comfortable feeling this mouse
to operate. (The G700 dispensed coating and has only one roughened fabric that something feels uncomfortable and is quite conducive to perspiration)
I also was on when G700 thumb to Scheps, so he in heated battles BF3 happy times slipped what me so ruined some killstreak. The Roccat has clearly better
solved.

Roccat Kone XTD functionality: 5/5
Up to 8200 dpi, an immense precision (in conjunction with a Speedlink Repute), polyester-coated cable, variable weight, EasyShift macro keys, mouse buttons with crisp
Stop and perfect ergonomics speak for themselves: bombastic. And as if that were not enough then comes the brilliant yet screened 4-way scroll wheel rolled Titanium.
The main criticism of the previous models was clearly resolved!
(The G700 has comparatively "only" 5700 dpi, suffers from a weak battery and a stiff charging cable, and a very wobbly wheel)

Software Roccat Kone XTD of: 4/5
The software has not changed much compared to previous models, is clear and allows the user every possibility the mouse adapt to his ideas.
This ease of use combined with the many functions (EasyAim, click Master, and not least Roccat Talk) a great impression.
Only the design is something very "futuristic" and playful.
(The software of the G700 I find far less flexible and understandable Moreover, the assignment capacities of macros are limited)

Overall conclusion:
With pleasure I would have expressed more criticism, so it will not come off like I'm a fanboy schwafelnder or even been paid by Roccat, but unfortunately I allowed the
Roccat Kone XTD this not joy. Seriously I can not think either spontaneously or after profuse Consider a real gripe a.
Clear the purchase price of 90 Euro proud is not exactly cheap, but Kone is definitely worth the money.
Therefore, my overall conclusion is - it's worth.
For avid gamers as well as casual gamers a very excellent mouse!

EDIT: After the mouse suddenly stopped working, I turned to the Roccat Support - and got an answer with working solution within 3 hours ....
and Sunday, December 23! Very competent and friendly help, the best customer service I have ever experienced!
By the way - the problem was not my headset when Roccat but at the SteelSeries Engine.
