Why the NUK Vaporizer?
Often arises before the birth of the offspring, the system question for which product system you choose. Convinced of the previous NUK products (pacifiers and bottles), the lower price compared to, for example, Philips Avent system, the positive reviews of the product and also a bit because it is a German company at NUK or MAM, we chose this vaporizer decided. However, he is not ideal for everyday use and unfortunately has very serious flaws.

Vaporiser, bottle tongs and operating instructions in 10 languages (D, GB, F, E, P, I, GR, TR, RUS, PL). Other accessories, such as a measuring cup and a holder / tray for bottle tongs (where such support - as opposed to the measuring cup) is not really necessary) are not included with the product. The operating instructions are sufficiently detailed and describes everything necessary.
Processing:
The product is made of simple plastic. The processing is basically sufficient. It can be felt any burrs or sharp edges. Nevertheless, especially the interior (the baskets) the vaporizer acts not really high quality. Moreover, the stakes are very soft and little rigid. Especially the upper wire basket wobbles very strong.
The lid of the device is only provided from the top over the basket inserts on the equipment base. It can be very easy to turn a few millimeters to the left and right of the cover in the closed state. Although the lid can be so easily and quickly put on the device and the device is ready for use, but just as easily can also remove the lid or tear down what really constitutes a security risk, especially in households with small children.
The design of the vaporizer is of course always a matter of taste but acts timelessly modern by the round shape. However, the shape is also a big disadvantage (see also point 2 in the handling). The lid does not sit securely and falls quickly to the ground. Unfortunately, there is the lack of durability of the connection of handle bar and cover. This is with us already broken at the first fall on our linoleum floor, so the lid will be kept only very shaky from the upper connection of the handlebar.
Very practical is the cord storage under the appliance, the cable clutter on the desktop does not occur.
Operation:
To make it short: We use the device only for disinfection. Due to the relatively shaky construction of the internal structure and the presence of a larger-be, special steamer, we decided not to use for food preparation by steaming.
Basically, the operation of the device is very simple and easy to understand. The device has only two control buttons: The left button (with the label on it) turns on the Vaporisationsvorgang. In addition, shows a small bright diode to the active Vaporisationsvorgang. The right button (unmarked) on the process and the device prematurely. Sounds good and simple, but
1.) The device comes with no measuring cup. Thus another measuring cup is necessary for the metering of 90 ml. But many measuring cups have very simple measurements (in 50ml- or even only 100ml increments). This is very inconvenient. Nearly every device and every product which must be accurately metered something is delivered with appropriate Maßbechern or Maßlöffeln. Here nil. Our solution: Use of a vial, as contained thereon usually appropriate markers. Nevertheless, a simple measuring cup belongs to such a device to do so.
2.) Of course the device cover must be removed for filling and emptying the unit. Unfortunately, the cover has a serious design defect. The lid has no way this store upside down safely on. He is round on all surfaces and wobbles in literally around on the canvas, once you settle him. So the tumbling lid is also very fast way to the floor (which we already at the first time a fraction of the handlebar at the bottom joint to cover the consequence). 4) Because the device is missing an audible signal at the end of Vaporisationsvorgangs, you miss very often the point at which the water is still hot enough in the accessories to evaporate in the open air. Security:
All parents are united by the sense and the need for safe products. Unfortunately, this device is missing the important acoustic signal at the end of Vaporisationsvorgangs. So you missed very quickly if you are not reminded by a separate timer or is next to the device, the time at which the device is ready to be emptied. The faster, the device can be emptied, the less children can burn on the hot unit. Here are other producers subject to the condition. The cover is an avoidable security risk: In operation it is very loose, and after removing it tumbles around in the workspace.
Conclusion:
Our conclusion after 7 months with this device is that it was a bad buy for us. The most serious are the daily painful missing properties of a certain standing lid, an acoustic feedback at the end of the disinfection process and the lack of drying of the inserted bottles and accessories. Unfortunately, this device as not corresponding to the usual high standard of nucleic or MAM-products in terms of quality and everyday utility. I therefore recommend that this device does not continue but rate for researching other products for this purpose.
