I was the owner of a nexus July 1st generation (2012) 3G version. This is totally fell stranded after 2 years of loyal service. I was looking for a tablet that could replace it. My criteria were strict: a tablet 8 inches (I had in hand the iPad Mini and I found the format better than 8 inches 7 inches and just as easy to walk), GPS, and the eventual possibility of adding the SD memory via SD card (on the Nexus range is not possible). I have a very particular use of a tablet: I use in air navigation (hence the need for a GPS) and road in reading light (epub, pdf ...), a nomad with my account Dropbox and many management application (car, bank account ....) and social networking (including whatsapp). It is a tool that does not leave me. There are not many tablets on the market that all these specifications. Then I am amazed: impressive reactivity, bright and very accurate even in full sun screen, and a hyper-reactive GPS. With a sim card in addition it allows to make calls (okay we do not see to the ear tablet but with a headset can also help, especially as 4G subscriptions is used in the tablets very often with calls so as to enjoy it). Its autonomy is bluffing and stamina mode is a great addition to also win. In addition it does not heat at all. It is very thin and the edges are not proéminants as the Nexus 7. Brief but happiness. Version 4G / LTE it comes with earpieces that can move calls.
The only downside is that you can not find a full protective cover for use totally adventurer (otterbox example).
