The charger makes a solid and sophisticated look. However, the iSmart technology seems not yet to be fully developed. The iPad 3 is detected with original Apple charging cable every time (regardless of the 2.4 A ports). So it may sometimes happen that the iPad will not be charged overnight and the next morning empty. So you have to pay every time meticulously whether the charger has recognized the iPad. A workaround is, the iPad again be deducted from the charger and insert again. But this can not be the purpose of iSmart technology. The unit returns. I am going to try it with a charger of anchor. Addendum: The partial non-recognition of the iPad 3 is not an exclusive problem of this charger. An anchor charger (also with iSmart / IQ charging technology) has similar problems. The problem does not occur when the first iPad is connected to the dock connector and then to the charger. In chargers without iSmart / IQ but the plug-in sequence does not matter. The charger has therefore deserves 4 stars.
