Disappointing burn time (not recommended for use in the fall / winter!)

Basically, the light string works as described, but the burn time is disappointing. Only on sunny days (direct sunlight!) Charges the battery through the solar panel so on, that the fairy lights burning for several hours. In rainy and cloudy sky the solar panel is insufficient to adequately recharge the battery, so that the fairy lights on such days (most days in winter) long only about an hour burns, if at all.
