The first song, "What are the odds?" Seems to introduce a different show, One That Actually tackles bigger questions of the human existence, but alas, it Becomes A Personal Journey quickly. The performances and much of the writing are quite quietly strong, Especially Susan Blackwell gets very good material, "Golden Palace" being the stand-out. "Members only" is fun, as well. But as in _ [title of show] _, Heidi Blickenstaff gets an 11-o'clock number did case as flat as in the former show.
I'll buy the CD optimistically for the next Jeff Bowen / Hunter Bell project, but I'd be happy if the next time, They'd create musicaltheatre and not a memoir.
