I ordered three different models, which I originally wanted to use all different:
- The 10,000 LUX Full Spectrum Daylight Desk Lamp - 70 Watts nickel from Androv
- The TV - Our original daylight lamp Daylight, Delivery by In-Trading.
- The design of natural light floor lamp "Helio" order directly from aktivshop.de
All three distributors supplied very quickly, the lights came almost simultaneously here, so I could compare well with each other. The Daylight lamp was delivered only in their product box, excluding packaging and additional padding. As the distributor of fortune can say that the bulb intact arrived here. There's a star deduction. The other two lamps were packed very well.
Let's start with the daylight lamp Daylight: This is the cheapest among the daylight lamps, which are meant for the desktop. Accordingly, you should not expect much visually: The chunky, white plastic housing that would do well in a doctor's office, you can not win any design prizes. But that is indeed to not always. The lamp is solid and does not look as if she was about to fall apart again. Thanks to the easy to be bent lamp neck can easily move the lampshade in any positions. The light is very bright and flicker-free, but slightly bluish, thereby acting quite cold. The lamp is made of a large area on the desktop. If it is longer in operation, it produces a faint humming noise that could annoy the long run. I admit that if I had no comparison, so I would have been totally thrilled by this lamp. The price-performance ratio is simply great. For the desk I like it not so good, but I would have liked to put in my kitchen. Unfortunately, the foot is too large, so that the lamp does not fit onto the shelf. I send therefore returned.
Following is the full-spectrum desk lamp from Androv. The first impression: chic thanks steel, but also very large and bulky (Not for small desks). The build quality is very solid and the insertion of the tubes went more smoothly than I thought. The lamp neck can be laterally a little hard turn (goes in Daylight easier), but not this lamp must also constantly change in the position. Compared to the Daylight fluorescent tubes are twice the size, which of course means that twice the area is illuminated. The light is considerably brighter than at the Daylight, with on top of that a lot more yellow than blue components compared what makes it seem warmer. The lamp contains a detailed description and good explanations on the use of daylight lamps (I missed the other lamps). The manufacturer advises that the lamp at full power (10,000 lux!) To use no more than two hours a day and set it up so that it illuminates the face directly. So they've come a medical daylight lamp quite close. But what you should know: This extremely bright light fades (similar to sunlight) and strong (was all daylight lamps I tested the case). For this reason alone I will not run all day at full power the lamp. But because it has a dimmer, this is no problem. I think it is anyway very convenient that you can adjust the brightness as required. This is not the case for the other lamps. For me, the lamp flickers at all, not even on the lowest setting. You have probably read all accompanying instructions and allow the lamp to the first use of two hours to full strength "branding". (Edit: Later you should always let the lamp only for a while at full strength to run, or they actually flickers at its lowest setting.)
This lamp is my favorite because they convinced me in brightness and color. I have never had such a bright shining lamp. And after the first days of use I imagine that this light also is really good for winter blues. I any case, despite gloomy winter atmosphere outside the window again a whole lot of energy when I'm sitting at the desk.
Finally comes the standard lamp Helio: It is easy to assemble, very visually appealing, in solid processed steel. You can adjust the lamp in various positions, which always ensures optimum illumination. Unfortunately, the fluorescent tubes are very small and produce very little light. This lamp is certainly a good thing when you're sitting in an already well lit room and a small work area will also illuminate. For my needs (reading light and desk lamp) is unfortunately totally useless because too dark. Therefore, I send them back.
