Fast document capture

I have been working for many years professionally with OmniPage from Nuance to capture documents and texts, and save them as either a PDF or to convert via OCR into editable data. I worked with a scanner from Samsung The past few years, however, who had managed a maximum of 10 pages (pages) per minute. According to time-consuming, the constant data collection was designed.

The performance of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-C225W document scanner has thereby clearly surprised me because the scans run on both sides and to create up to 25 sheets (50 pages) per minute for detecting. In order for the document scanner clearly in the lead and provides for my needs a scary strong savings potential at work. And this at a really good scan quality.

The device under my existing OmniPage software was a breeze. After you have installed the drivers from the CD, you will launch the scanner so that it is recognized by the system. Then start the Scanner Wizard in OmniPage and add the scanner. Subsequently, the document capture via OmniPage works flawlessly and quickly.

Should not you have OmniPage, this is no problem, the scanner takes on the media a number of useful programs with the same, including a OmniPage version, PaperPort Pro 14 document management and eCopy PDF Pro PDF creation.

Visually see the scanner really good, not again any big bulky box, but relatively small and space-saving workplace accommodated.

The scanner itself has a USB connection and a wireless interface, but replacing either work as a wireless device, or can connect the scanner with USB to a terminal, both connections are not possible simultaneously. I personally have the scanner connected via USB to my PC to process the documents right there.

When driver installation is to be noted that the driver software must be installed first before connecting the scanner and connects. If done the other way around, the driver can later no longer recognized, so you have to reset their system again only to then be installed in the correct order according to instructions again. So please the instructions carefully.

As I said, I am absolutely satisfied with the document scanner, because it means, above all, professionally for me an eerie time savings. Even if the price of this document scanner is quite high, can convince the performance offered.
