For a Handballfan the PC game is exciting because it is the first comprehensive simulation of the sport. A few years ago was often speculated whether it is at all possible to bring a handball simulation on the market and I personally have to say, the 2nd version is well done. However, the improvements from the previous version are quite clear. Positives: - the menu is clear. - Various modes (career, Friendlies, League) - Very many leagues and national teams with licenses - Court, halls and game atmosphere feels authentic - Tactics in the game possible (moves, counter attacks, defensive line-up ...) - Goalkeeper move authentically (Omeyer and Landin with typical Goalkeeper Game) - Several shots with realistic spray pattern (acting liquid) - Up to 4 players - The Spielanalage is well done and it's great fun to play the game Neutral: - have with commentators, but not a lot to say Negative: - movements are quite slow and sometimes a bit stiff / haltingly (except the throws) - Passports do not always there to where they should go - Quite a lot of bugs (eg Goalkeeper comes out sometimes and then stays there hang) - Violation at initiation (player transgressed centerline although the ball had not yet played) - Partially unintelligible referee decisions - Graphics can be expanded
Conclusion: It's nice that there even exists a handball simulation, with the hope that the next generations can fix the weaknesses of the predecessor. The game is a lot of fun and that's why I can overlook some negative points. Recommended for handball fans. Players should have the EA Sports game claims screws their claims down.
