The image quality is surprisingly good; the indicator -also at fast oncoming Fahrzeugen- are very well read in the still image.
Great idea:
the accompanying of Rollei remote for CarCam;
so you can make the menu settings as well as individual photos better and easier than with direct input on the device itself, especially in the latter case, each time you press a button the image naturally shakes during recording because of the pressure on a button, the device is of course inevitably moves .....
Tips:
1. Charging the built-in battery via PC and mini-USB connector Charger possible (so is not in the manual) - However, beware: the power supply must be max. Have 5 V output voltage, but should be at least. 1 A (= 1000mA) power bring (2000mA or more are also not a problem as the unit's only decreases the current it actually needs)
2. play definitely latest software from Rollei, so you have (marked in the menu with EV) made available exposure.

5. However, it is after installing the DATAKAM player probably initially have no sound -it still lacking the appropriate codec on your computer; the sound has on my Win 7 64-bit computer works only after you install the K-Lite Codec Pack easily (also hereinafter simply googling times)
6. as indicated neither in manual nor in the data sheet, the data here for 12 V car charger:
INPUT 12-24 V / 0.7 A
OUTPUT: 5 V / 1 A
7. If a newly purchased microSD SDHC Memory Card (lt. Suggestions for improvement:
1. simple deactivation function of the receiving sound would be desirable if you just want to make a phone call and the phone call is not the same as recorded .....
2. Better and more extensive manual; this should also be placed on the website of the manufacturer to download. The included CD manual is very poor and incomplete

This car charger with power supply has an angled connector is about 3 meters long and is connected directly to the electrical system. The connection is made simply to a suitable place where plus and minus can be tapped (eg car battery, ignition or in the fuse box) and the current flows only when the ignition. This bracket is even more compact than the normal suction, budge (ride over cobblestones no problem!) And is very easy to remove by the magnet or to install, yet still. And the best: the compact design should really fit this bracket behind each rear-view mirror!
Finally, a few info's:
- Charging time for the internal battery: about 1.5 to 2 hours on PC and mini-USB device port.
. - Concerning the sound I had an inexplicable phenomenon: the first day was to hear a loud rustling of paper in the sound - after a few days disappeared this; Today the sound -no idea is so brilliant that I can clearly hear not only the car radio, but also each guided in a normal voice conversation (also of people who sit in the back seat!) ..... Important Note:
If you do not use your car every day a long time, turn off the automatic motion detection in menu! Otherwise the battery of CarCam or the car battery is in fact (if the 12V car socket is switched to permanent plus) sucked in standby .....

So, after 1 year of operation, I prefer in the DVR110 another star from (now only 3 stars!), Because
a) shaking the camera in such a way in the bracket, that an image-wise and tonmässig really gets on my nerves when later viewing! No remedy possible because of the design of CarCam!
b) of the battery CarCam not automatically charges; every week I have to at least 1x USB charger to the mains separately charge -an impertinence!
c) a replacement camera had a significantly worse picture quality and has also not charged while driving .... So -this seems to be a general problem of Rollei; just amazes me that in this respect no others have described this lack ....
That's it for me with the Rollei DVR110, despite good image quality - sorry!
But I had in any case already played for some time with the idea to install a rear view camera. And after I recently had a collision (mine is a stop on the bike path at the back of it ...) I have now the new BlackVue DR650GW 2CH GPS risen -see my local review ......
