Why Nikon is again on the battery concept is something incomprehensible. Ok, the design bothers me less, despite the battery compartment L31 has become quite slim. Some argue with empty battery, here you can just change the batteries and carry on. In times of Second Battery and Power Bank I find this argument but a bit dated.
I guess it's just a matter of taste.
Nikon wanted to maybe just return to minimalism, this can be seen, too, a little to the settings that are (pleasantly) clearly. The operation is quite comfortable if you now disregards basically of the pressure points.
Those looking for an affordable entry-level camera that does not frills on board makes the L31 certainly not much wrong. Only when processing Nikon could have been better watch out.
