What's in it \\\ ///
Well, first of all includes the "MCC" an advertising leaflets for the exclusive Xbox One Game "Sunset Overdrive", then a code for a two-day Gold membership, a code for Halo: Nightfall and finally a disc on the following games are:
- Halo: Combat Evolved
- Halo 2: Anniversary
- Halo 3
- Halo 4
In Disk boot or install first a Day One patch has yet to be downloaded, which claimed 15GB on the hard disk in order to enjoy the "MCC" in full screen. One or the other will now certainly ask why the hell not second disc with lies. This question I have to be honest also asked me, but it happens to be how it is. In addition, it bothers me personally very little in times of internet and regular downloads, therefore, the whole quite get over. Finally everything is loaded on the hard drive, installed and ready to go, are in a following game options:
- The campaigns (halo 1, 2, 3 and 4)
- The multiplayer mode (online, own games, forging, cinema)
- Game lists
- Options and career
- Extras (Halo Nightfall, Halo 5 Beta, videos etc.)
At the Games in the individual and the multiplayer I'm now a more fully below, and hope that you will be helped with it a little in deciding whether the "MCC" possibly worth or not.
\\\ HALO: COMBAT EVOLVED ///
Here I was, of course, incredibly curious what the makers have fabricated. Because you throw the first Halo today in 2014 times in the console and plays all on a 55, then ... well, that's already a lot of getting used to. I have never played the Anniversary edition on the 360. When I finally "Halo: Combat Evolved" launched in the remastered version of the One, took my first breath, and I could not believe my eyes. The visual differences of the first Halo-part are quite simply overwhelming, and that's an understatement. Basically here you can no longer even speak of differences, because it is in principle ne completely different world. Would sound, characters and the basic architecture is not the same as the original version, it would smooth out of another game. Because nothing, but really nothing reminds Optical basically still on the original. First, the environment: This is no longer recognizable and has been revised and polished basically COMPLETE. Knack Sharp textures, all objects that were a lot of details on the old Xbox impossible and completely lacked, effects such as light or shadow, computer terminals and keyboards, the foresight backgrounds as rock or cloud formations in the distance, the water - everything looks worlds better and more modern than it was then, and this is really an understatement. At the latest when one of these insane turnaround will arrive after the launch mission on Halo aware. The next thing is immediately striking the character models, including facial animations. The models of the characters have also been completely redesigned and heaved into the modern era. Many of the figures are no longer recognizable, the body movements are finally properly as to identify those to recognize the details of uniforms clear and also completely redesigned. In addition, the scenery around some acts Moody illuminated. The total package is therefore quite simply the hammer and write all here and to read, it describes not even close. You have to really see live so we can understand what the developer has put here on their feet. Added to this joins also the liquid performance thanks 60fps. And the sound was revised and sounds much bulkier, hotter and more powerful in the remastered version. The only thing that stands out here is negative, the lip-sync, which is often non-existent ... unfortunately. This tarnishes the otherwise very positive impression a little bit, but just in the sequences where it strikes.
"Halo: Combat Evolved" Remastered: 6 Stars
HALO 2 \\\ ///
Here I might add, in principle, the same text as in Part 1, as well as "Halo 2" Remastered is ne different world compared to the first version, and we're talking still of a game's first Xbox generation, not the 360! There is nothing in the One variant of "Halo 2" which would indicate that looked this game times steinalt or is many years old. Because also here: all the graphics have been revised as for Part 1. There are textures and details inserted at that time did not exist and it's just one of the highlights of this game in such a to play by his standards, grandiose appearance. Textures, image sharpness, level of detail, the character models, the facial animations, weapons details, light and shadow effects, completely revised listings when the sun is shining or light falls on the gun looks really very pretty, plus the foresight ALL NEW, ALL CHIC, ALL JUST mouth open for connoisseurs of the original! I especially like to "Halo 2" Remastered, which the cutscenes that were still in game graphics in the original version, were here newly reissued and converted into animated videos. The result: the videos move from the level of her, and this is no joke, almost at the same level as the cut scenes from "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare", which has recently appeared! This is now no gehype, no advertising chatter, this is my full seriously! If you let yourself go, the overall result after an hour or two to play just once through the head, then you can the developers really thank for this achievement, especially if you are connoisseur or even owners of older versions and this time live or compares a button , A completely new feel! The sound also does everything right and shines like already part 1 by an excellent new blend. Be it the dialogues, the effects or the soundscape throughout - through surround makes "Halo 2" on the One neat fun.
"Halo 2" Remastered: 6 star!
HALO 3 \\\ ///
In "Halo 3", the difference is not so great as in the first two parts, which is only logical because the watched 360 times already chic, even today, considering the age. The Xbox One version of "Halo 3" stands out due to significantly sharper textures and edges that. After the intro on the gun, make their ammo or plant noticeable around Overall, the picture looks even sharper 1080p thanks many times, there is a better foresight, revamped lighting and shading effects, and it is also represented much more fluid thanks to 60fps. Again, the character models are actually a little worked up, but of course, not to such an extent as in Halo 1 or 2. In addition, the complete scene as that of the predecessor looks a bit better and more harmonious illuminated. The soundtrack of "Halo 3" I'd almost 1 against: 1 compared to the original view. Anyway, I have hardly noticed any significant differences in direct comparison.
"Halo 3" Remastered: 5 stars
HALO 4 \\\ ///
"Halo 4" has in the remastered version as expected was the smallest changes, which should now be surprised and not particularly, the title is just good 2 years old. What stands out here is of course the sharper overall image with 1080p, the crisper textures (especially in the distance) and the slightly prettier light, particles and shadow effects. In addition, the game performance Technically runs smooth as silk by the 60 frames. The overall picture therefore an increase over the 360 version, but also not a quantum leap as in part 1 and 2. The sound, however, is rather disappointing and mostly solid on Surround for my taste. Firstly, the entire soundtrack of the Remastered is several shades mixed quieter than the original and on the other hand many dialogues are not always successive properly and matched against the other sound tracks. Often the words of the Master Chief`s for example falling out much too quiet while Cortana often screams like a madman around.
"Halo 4" Remastered: 4 stars
\\\ /// MULTIPLAYER
The multiplayer includes all Halo`s and you can choose in the game looking for different categories, such as Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 2 classic, Halo 3 or Halo 4. Total also the "MCC" includes around 100 maps. If now I have counted correctly, provides the first Halo 19 Maps, Halo 2 with a total of 31 Anniversary cards Maps, Halo 3 has 24 Maps and Halo 4 comes with 25 maps in the Collection. All in all the tops just about everything on the scope and needs no further words.
OTHER \\\ ///
- Well I like that you can change the key bindings in different variants. So if you prefer a modern key assignment as I preferred (for example, LT goals) can change the menu.
- The game menu is designed the same for all Halo parts.
- The "MCC" has a total of 4500GS.
- It can be selected individually before the game begins each mission ...
- ... Even standing skull immediately available for selection.
- Overall, the game takes me 59.1GB on the hard drive to complete.
- The split screen is also back on board.
\\\ HALO MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION - CONCLUSION ///
"Halo" in a new light, in the truest sense of the word. Who these Xbox milestones, particularly Parts 1 and 2, again again want to experience or even have never had contact with it, which makes the "MCC" absolutely nothing wrong! The preparation of the first two parts is just phenomenal and I would never have expected such a result. I'm actually not a big fan of remastered versions. However, the original versions are here a few years back, which makes the whole extremely interesting. Yet this is the final work so stunning because there should be more of in the future like. About the price / performance ratio is also necessary here to say nothing, because that might not be fair! Four full Halo games including multiplayer monstrous package for the price of one game, because you can not complain really. Power 5 stars from my side.
In this sense, a lot of fun just not with Halo, and or until the next review.
