Invisible Touch (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Have the CD of 1986 - which was still music! Pop at a high level. Diverse blaspheme: "These are no longer Genesis as in the seventies, you are no longer as experimental This is too much (zuphil) Collins..." Yes, it was the eighties. Yes, the style had changed. Phil Collins has had great influence. Because He is all around a huge talent. His songs go down like oil. Hardly anyone who does not respond one somewhere somehow. Ingenious Hooks, good Bridges. Crystal clear sound (eg Tonight, Tonight, Tonight) and to its synthetic sounding voice. That really was! The "Invisible Touch" album is good to very good from the first to the last tone. Hit after hit - just killers, no fillers! "Land of Confusion" (+ "Spitting Image") = milestones! Also sound technically put this album in his time scales - and sounds still as good as on the first day. Phil was (is) a good unlikely Genesis frontman. He could always super entertaining. Again and again wonderfully: The self-irony, which he puts to light. Bands like Genesis with mass-market hits (in the Pop category), good music, great show, success and provide a good amount of self-irony are unfortunately dying out. There is nothing like it today. Also buy: DVD "Live at Wembley" (concert of this period). Highly recommended!
