Design / feel:
Top notch, as you really can not complain, the phone looks like made of a cast! The Grey makes a noble impression so that is obvious just from looking that this is a premium machine, quite the opposite to the current Samsung devices. The back is in spite of the enormous size of my standards very well in the hand and I will even say better than the compact iPhone 5, which I called for a year my companion. Only the Speaker button has me a little room back and forth, what annoyed me when this price range device really. I hope that this is a production error, which occurs only in the first range. Da me does not bother especially, I'll keep the unit because otherwise no existing shortcomings nevertheless.
Unfortunately, the hands come on the back at current temperatures very quickly work up a sweat. This is because that adjusts the aluminum temperature and thus a heat build-up between fingers and back. Risk of slipping is not thereby however, since the aluminum is relatively rough and therefore very handy.
Alternatively, a silicone cover for the back of the delivery is, which is very well adapted, making the device even minimally larger and covers even the two openings for headphones and charger at the bottom, if needed can easily be folded out but without having to remove the cover class was thought along here!

Surface / screen / power:
As a former iPhone users, of course, I could only dream of the many features of Android. However, I found myself still quite at home and have to say that the sense surface of HTC has done very nicely. Whether one now TouchWizz (Samsung) like better, is up to you. For me Sense is an extremely user-friendly interface, the newsfeed is practical and also unlock the screen, be it by double-clicking or various string gestures; it's just very flexible and versatile.
The display makes the 5 inch screen in full HD resolution just plain fun. That the 3 Android buttons appear in almost every app down, not particularly bother with this size. The colors are crisp, realistic and of course razor sharp (here I have to say with respect to Samsung, that the colors are in my opinion too plastic and garish). The brightness is also very easy to control, automatic brightness control even very pleasant. You can also choose here the maximum possible brightness itself, thus the display is not bright as you wish.
For power you need not say much, there is no stuttering, everything runs super smooth and the touchscreen works precisely. Even in sleep mode, where the performance of the processor will be curbed, more than enough power is available to all display liquid.
Battery life:
Funnily enough, I must confess that this was my biggest gripe for the device. Who iPhone batteries praises, I do not understand anyway. My iPhone 5 has usually Just put me on the day, at a relatively moderate use. The HTC is with me in the first charging cycle! With 75% I have it turned on 04/05/2014 at 10:05 clock for the first time, synchronize all installed apps and set up the device. The battery had thus brought the evening still 30% and me yet about the next half a day, and that at more aggressive use without power saving mode, mind you. (About it is but the device fault, it's just so SEXY that you can not put it down WILL !!) I am sure that the battery life is a little better, but already extremely satisfactory definitely. Average users could get along even without issues 3 days without a power socket in my opinion.
Camera:
This topic has been chewed through often enough. I can really only confirm the test results here: The rear camera takes pictures, nothing more, nothing less. The resolution is really very low, it shows when zooming. For normal photos to share with friends, as it usually is the case with me, it is easily sufficient. The images are brighter than most other cameras, even partly overexposed, but not really useless. Nevertheless, I would argue that HTC compared to the competition by far has the worst back camera.
The front camera alias Selfie cam contrast really makes very good pictures! Also to be only a short time to look at before you go to the public, this is in conjunction with the large display really a fine thing.
Signal strength / Call quality / speakers:
Here, I can not compare with the iPhone. In my apartment (first floor, small town), I had the iPhone often no reception, talks have broken off regularly. With the HTC looks completely different. At least 3 bar, if not full reception in almost every corner, really good! I had no reception problems until now. The call quality is excellent. Since I'm hard of hearing, I do me with the phone calls over the phone normally difficult, but what the HTC delivers me there, is just perfect.
The Boom Boom speaker cut an also from the socks. I highly recommend this phone finally use as an alarm clock, have to have that I would hear it without fear. The speakers spit a full, rich, clear sound and have really a bass that does not sound tinny. This can make absolutely no competitor in this precision (we are still waiting for the Xperia Z2). If necessary you can order really sound for a small party in the apartment. EMERGENCY! : D

HTC has extremely geleitstet good job and did not have the camera such problems, the best mobile 3 current flagship (Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2) it would be definitely. For me, it is that too, because I do not expect SLR in a smartphone, and even the existing sufficient for my needs. So I can really recommend this phone to anyone who does not attach great importance to perfect photos, but otherwise will have an absolute high-end device with superior workmanship and extremely good stamina.

1.Akkulaufzeit:
Still top notch. With frequent use to get loose over 2 days and had at the end of the second day for about 15-10% left. I must admit that I use the power saving mode, more and more, because of loss of power is by no means evident and the battery usage thereby again increasing hugely. After research on how best to preserve the battery, I can say that one ideally the battery the first two cycles to make empty to about 6% and then fully recharge should. After that, it is relatively unimportant, but the battery should never be less than 5% have until to charge him again. Also, there is still about 1-2 times a month helpful to carry out the battery care. (The charging time is approximately 1 3/4 hours with me, what I feel for 2,600 mAh relatively quickly.)
2.Bedienung in relation to the on-screen buttons and Black HTC-bar:
To this end, I would like to resist giving my experience. In the beginning I also thought that the court gave away is really a bad design, but I have to confess now that the on-screen buttons sitting on a perfect height to reach them with your thumb. If they were housed in the HTC-bar, the handling would not be as comfortable as you would hold the phone later and thus due to the gravity of the unit would no longer safe in the hand.
