More crappy that "the first day". It's possible. Here is the proof.

I said in my review of the "first day" what I thought of this novel. It is rare to see so damn bad story, based on such a lousy documentation and featuring characters with such absurd motivations. I naively thought so you can do worse.

I was wrong. Marc Levy, it was possible. What holds us what Volume 2.

The first hundred pages show from Adrian found someone. Which earned us a plot more than reduced: it is said that the person is there and he will find. But rest assured, it happens when even something for by the way, our hero frees three ducks (is not it called "filling"?). Then Adrian leaves. To do what? But the same thing, by Jove. One wonders why. It was a bit like that Levy realized that his first text was leading nowhere and that he is resigned to rewrite the scene (and too bad for the unfortunate ducks, abandoned to their fate) then, at the time of making his manuscript, he realized that he lacked forty pages and has recycled its first jet (with spin).

Then our heroes return to their archaeological quest. Which earned us a multitude of lawsuits in which, despite their inexperience, they miraculously escape the gunmen of the mysterious secret organization of the World Masters (which, as I said in my other comment, you never know who they are and why their organization is created). What holds us some beautiful pieces dialog type James Bond against the spectrum (I just caricature some):

- Seize them.
- Well, sir
- So?
- They have escaped our men, sir.
- Find them, fool. Otherwise ....
- Yes sir.

There is also a love affair. I do not insist on it. As usual in the novels of Levy, they are young, they are beautiful, they love and they spend their time say, to tease, to sulk, to be jealous and to give kisses.

Returning to solving the mystery. In the first volume, Levy sent his hero because someone in Germany, to the Bronze Age, there was actually a star pattern (big deal!). This time, our heroes have a (new) extraordinary intuition: the three fragments of a mysterious object found by them were discovered "south," "east" and "west" (the world ), the fourth fragment must be in the north "(still the world).
So they embarked for Siberia (well, that's great, but keep confidence, they are REALLY gifted).

Obviously if Levy had bothered to cast a glance at an atlas, he could see that:
- Valley of the Omo (Ethiopia), where the fragment was discovered "South" is located in the northern hemisphere.
- The Andaman Islands, place of discovery of the fragment "East" are at the same latitude as the Omo valley and thus the assumption Ethiopia / South Andaman + / East does not impose. The alternative Ethiopia / + Andaman West / South, for example, is just as valid.
- Note that the place where the fragment was discovered "the West" (Lake Titicaca) is the only hotel in the Southern Hemisphere and that this fragment deserves more than that of Ethiopia, the title " South fragment "
Logically, rather than from Siberia, Levy's heroes should have concluded Andaman / West - Titicaca / South - Ethiopia / East and embark for Canada.

Sometimes still amazed some of the "mysteries" that the author allows us to discover, to us mere mortals. Thus, the scene where our heroes go to a craftsman with an enigmatic disc manufactured by the mysterious strangers who frequented our planet there are 400 million years. Our man, who has the spirit of observation, then a surprise of his life (I assure you!) By making the diameter of the object is of 31.415 cm (31.4115 Levy said by mistake) Go account, my little lady, he exclaims, this corresponds to 10 cm times Pi. "Pi is a transcendental number, it is the ratio of the circumference of a circle and its radius," he said in amazement Keira who just manages to tell him "I had to skip school the day they taught us that."

We are here before the Mystery with a capital "M". I assume your hair is now bristling with fear and excitement (it was the goal). Only problem, it is only possible if the mysterious Unknown prehistory had reason to multiply by Pi length of 10 cm, that is to say, if they used the metric system. Mr. Levy, do you not know that it was invented at the French Revolution?

But let us not worry, we will still have our mystery. I state how Keira supposedly brilliant university (forget its geography gaps), she was able to get his degree without ever having heard of Pi, which implies that it has in its past no life math exam or physical? That's a mystery TRUE.

A host of other inconsistencies were noted by other reviewers. Needless to return.

Stop here and avoid to hold forth on the end: a bit of preaching very credible, an ordinary identity of the mysterious Unknown prehistory (this has been done a thousand times) and an explanation of the mystery totally delusional origins. Player, going your way.
