Technically, the game ran at me properly and without error or is not even been crashed, yet I was dealing with a bug. Compared I had with Assassin's Creed Unity had several hangers at the same time (which I still for a relatively stable hold game Assassin's Creed Unity). So can definitely not confirm that the game was technically poorly supplied, like many another wrote here. I suspect that the computer minimum requirements have not been met in such cases.
Graphically and acoustically the game is superb. But has correspondingly high hardware hungry.
The game starts basically as you would expect from Dragon Age. Cinematic sequences first battles, character creation, etc ... I do not want to go in depth now, should by now all be known.
But after that the feeling will change a bit, compared to the two predecessors. Somehow I get the feeling in
The Old Empire to have landed (online RPG from Bioware) only with Dragon Age scenario: Star Wars. Apparently they have
learned by Star Wars and this is now transferred to a single-player game.
But why not ?! Has there also works well.
There is no tube levels as its predecessor, but a relatively free world, which is really huge.
Finally, I also want to write something about the constant story comparing the individual Dragon Age Games:
Certainly Dragon Age 1 is the most compelling emotional game of the series and it always will be. However, this is mainly due to the story, which is actually nen Vintage outrageous injustice, revenge and satisfaction at the end.
Avatar for example, has used a (other) classic, but tried and tested narrative dynamics in the cinema and was very successful, with no
really deliver a story of innovation. This did not Dragon Age 1 but yet the story was great.
But one would now ever always jump on the same story rail it would be desolate.
This has been underestimated in Dragon Age 2 in my eyes, which rather resembled a drama or tragedy and not just built on the same feelings, therefore also the player is not packed so emotional, as part 1. However, I found the story of Part 2 is also very class, but they had to let sink right now.
To close the bow to Dragon Age 3, I have the feeling that the story here much to voltage or open-ended questions (eg, how the player has come to the time and why? Etc ...) builds. But can not fully evaluate because I obviously have not played until the end of the story.
Nevertheless, I want to just dampen expectations a little. Who ever compares here with Dragon Age 1, only to be disappointed for the very reasons mentioned above. I find these comparisons in terms of the story honestly always very subjective and inappropriate. All these stories have their charm and the way it should be. A good number of games / movies / stories must simply provide variety and not running in place, or I would at least always have the feeling again and again to experience the same thing. This would be for me in the long boring!
Negative noticed about the game is a little controlling to me. So I found it very pleasant in its predecessor, an opponent
to click and my character then ran automatically at that, and began to fight. Now I have almost constantly click and always be near the enemy or object that I want to manipulate. This of course does not apply when giving the whole party commands.
I found the opportunity to provide some automation very pleasant and gave me quite a few tactically better options. In return, however, the player can now decide whether he wants to own not a little action feeling.
Since a decision with respect to preferred control would be in my opinion, are offered as in Witcher 1.
Likewise, I would also like desired by the not so significant Quest donors and interlocutors, as in the predecessor, a cinematic camera work, because it simply looks beautiful.
Nevertheless, I do not reichts to devalue the game why. I think I'll still have many hours of fun with this game and will certainly play through as well as the predecessor repeatedly, as each playthrough differently designed than the last.
Conclusion: Somewhere Dragon Age meets Star Wars: Old Republic!
