After some time looking and reading and trying out the variety of housing, it should be a cube. But which?
The criteria for me were stuck: no 300 Euro & the water cooling is to have space. Also, the housing should be to get as without heat problems can loosely lift a modern SLI. This alone restricted the selection a powerful.
Result:
this one here. Corsair Carbide Air 540. I know I have chosen.
Conclusion: 5 stars
Why 5 stars?
+ Powerful plenty of space
+ Ordinary processing, no burrs or sharp edges, materials not smell or oily
+ Chic look
+ Installation is exemplary and simple - I was allowed to experience as much frustration rarely free installation
+ Same hardware & components only in another case only the CPU already achieve lower temperatures (for me at least 5 degrees Celsius under load less, before it was a Cooler Master Scout
+ Cable management, spatial division of SSD, PSU & Optical Drives which the air flow in the heart of the computer comes to Good
+ The Seasonic X-1050 with 19cm length fits perfectly (the overall length of the PSU can be adjusted in 1 cm steps up to 20cm)
+ Optical feast for the table - a shame to make the cube under the table.
+ Price / performance ratio is really OK
What I can not really judge or want to have noise, as I am not silencers and not pay too much attention put on. Anyway, it's noticeably quieter in the standard version, as my old one. And even under full load, it is not noisy. Admittedly, also supports my PSU the whole, the anwirft the fan thanks to the hybrid control only at higher temparatures only in case of need. However, the remains also quite "cool" because it more or less a "single room" and has no warm air would collect from the other components. Another advantage :-)
The vertical drive bays are OK. I would have loved more horizontal, in order to build in a beautiful fan control, but this toad I swallowed knowingly. But even here there 's gives quite good alternatives.
Because I need only a 3,5er bay for my data HDD, I have expanded the second port directly, which in turn means less cable.
All in all, the cube exactly what I wanted. It has also shown me that Corsair builds generally, very good well thought out housing and not just RAM, WAKÜ's or PSU's
5 Stars!!!
