A story full of fantasy (werewolves, magical characters (the heroine, a witch, vampires and so on). So a small side "melting pot" that would appeal ... or less. Strengths: apart from the historic area (! A "warlord" dominating a "tribe" in Vietnam, lol) the author has put his side a high quality documentation enabling it to add technical details its very realistic story, especially when it describes its werewolves and lupine Influence (systems of domination in wolves, animal behavior: super) This gives a serious (also: "scientific" language in the description of a mixture ...) useful in a world otherwise very fanciful. Now ... Too many characters! We find it no longer sometimes. Heroin is nevertheless friendly, dynamic girl with head on his shoulders, not a male (a real American, what, lol). If, like me, you're not passionate about werewolves, some passages linger long. By cons: Briggs shines through effective description of Scenes "Hollywood", which make you be born action so dear to American cinema in a few lines and without downtime! That's why I give it to the final: 3/5
