After this return to the past, our vampire finds his place a few centuries back. What I really liked is that the author chose to take people who had actually existed, even for Matthew, and is committed to this historical reality. We learn many things about the period of the reign of Elizabeth 1. Reading is a bit difficult because many new characters are introduced and it must be focused to remember which is which, and the nature of their relationship with Diana and Matthew. We realize that the author pays attention to small details that sown in the first volume, turn out in style in this second book. Nothing is really left to chance. The story is consistent even if we are right in fiction.
Some good surprises and twists, which is not expected give spice to the story. Of course, this book closes on issues and calls the third volume but we still learn many things.
I look forward to read more and end.
