This volume is neither the best nor the worst. Anita accompanies Jason to her parents. The latter's father is dying. Jason wants to see him again and asks Anita to accompany him as a girlfriend. At first sight it must have been a quiet stay, except that in addition to family conflicts Jason, Marmee Black, our two protagonists will face a vampire deceived by his wife with a dead ringer for Jason. The pros: 1) Anita sees its increased powers and a clash with Marmee Black seems to be emerging (at least that's my impression). 2) The final battle: we find a sure Anita of her and her capabilities, Anita desperate to friends. The -: 1) Anita has new lovers (again !!!). 2) Richard's moods.
In conclusion, this volume is pleasant to read and I recommend it to fans of the series.
