Had I but better decided "only" for the CTEK 56382 Indicator for use in the trunk, which I had ordered a precaution simultaneously.
Why?
- The traffic light indicator for charging status was never exactly - it charges the battery unnecessarily often - constantly red indicator, despite functioning battery (tested with "ADAC Battwatch").
- The flashing of the LED display disappeared after four months - now the indicator shows a steady light
- The defective indicator, however, is now permanently installed in the dashboard ...
A CTEK 56832 charging socket in the luggage compartment would have made more sense for ease of replacement possibility.
The loading of a CTEK 56832 socket in the luggage compartment would anyway hardly impractical as a socket in the passenger compartment, maybe a little less clean.
The really generous charging cable a CTEK Multi XS 7000 power supply is the way a bit short when passing it through a car window, which will of course probably first opened by a power window despite weak battery before recharging and may have to be closed burglar proof again.
Can replace the faulty indicator I will probably not soon. Who knows how long the stops next?
Since a reverse polarity protected charging socket is quite comfortable despite unusable battery indicator - three stars.
