SONY Marketing has always been world-class, but the cryptic designation S-Master digital amplifier HX ADAC premium headphones. I hear unfortunately no difference to classic very good headphones without built-in amplifier! The sound is well balanced with good bass power without exaggeration of a closed construction.

The whole presentation, appearance and finish is excellent, as with all three SONY premium headphones. Carrying pouch is included, as exchangeable connecting cable for iPhone, Sony Xperia (normal Micro USB) and USB charging cable. Soft earpieces made of leather, silicon-damped hinges without squeaking. Comfort very pleasant.

I would the SONY MDR-1A rich without built-in amplifier, which is almost 100 cheaper, at least 75 grams lighter and the drive unit / sound is obviously the same.
