Customer Review

Many old-Bad Religion fans whine yes permanently rum that everything that the punk rock veterans have made from the mid-90s, little good-for. Nix goes "Suffer" and so on. And now I ask myself down and say boldly: So good I do not find "Suffer", because for me are the published in the following years, "Against The Grain" and "Generator" much stronger. Well, even so can live well the self-proclaimed "the first hour fans". Here it comes, however: "The Emprire Strikes First" from 2004 is for me on a par with the classics of the band. I've heard the prophecies of doom that say the album sounded effeminate. What nonsense! Ausgewimpt might sound "No Substance", "The New America" and "the process of belief" - but certainly not "The Empire Strikes First". Only the opening track "Sinister Rouge" bangs interspersed with short double-pass passages harder than anyone Bad Religion song through the wooden structure. On the Trade Marks will also not waived: Hooks and backing choirs there en masse, the first five songs (no intro) are finest Bad Religion merchandise. With "God's Love" and "Beyond Electric Dreams" album in another course will follow two absolute cracker. Clear, "To Another Abyss" is a quiet, leisurely number - but so what can and may at times but also give. For me, "The Empire Strikes First" the resurgence of Californians are - and therefore the best album of 1996 for "The Gray Race".
