Half a year we were really happy with the seat and had no problems. Now does just this rotating mechanism function or its problems. Although we are always handled very carefully with this seat, it is inevitable that from time to land a grain of sand on the seat. These grains of sand get then gradually in the sliding or rotating mechanism so that it is always difficult to move and eventually totally gives up the ghost. For us it was so that the seat is no longer lies turn.
There is no protection provided which prevents the penetration of dirt. The worst thing is that bodies can not be cleaned, so that a repair at Cybex is then inevitable !!! For me an absolute bad design. Since children wear shoes and they are not always hygienically clean, it is entering a matter of time until this effect. Even with befriended couples, this problem occurs. And that with a seat well over 400!
Startled, we were also about the customer service of Cybex. We had 3-times contact via the dealer and hotline. At a Glance: Incompetent, cocky, clueless and rude customers.
The worst part: About the dealer has returned after an alleged repair us twice the seat. Quintessence, the seat now lies no longer lock up so that the seat we loose a gyro back and forth turned. Perilous !!! The second one Chicken no fault allegedly was found, so he came back unrepaired. The clerk and I were speechless. And that from a manufacturer who claims to produce the safest child seat? Assuming such a responsible approach to children's health?
After the seat was the third time at Cybex, I have now sat down personally with the customer service. 3 calls and always different statements: "The seat is not with us," "We can do nothing", "Contact only via the dealer". It was really difficult to find a person who could make more informed statements about the seat. I explained that I have lost confidence in the seat and now wants another seat. Now, after 2.5 months and a lot of trouble with the alleged repairs I was hoping for a little understanding and possibly goodwill.
But nothing there. It was very snooty and unverständnisvoll. Right to repair ... Bla, bla bla ..... On demand of the long procedure and failed to repair appeared unimpressed.
Meanwhile, I have a different seat (since 2.5 months without seat with us was not possible) and each would advise against buying this seat.
Full nebenbei..Ich had the Plus version of the seat. Anyone who thinks that the expensive stuff is better than the normal variant is mistaken. After six months, this already looked very worn and cheap.
Real sad what is offered for nearly 450 gets ---> Quality and Service = 0
