In principle, by the other reviews already said everything. Another detailed description I save therefore. I currently have a Nikon SLR and wanted a second camera, which can also then brings with him, if you want to wear a backpack. I already had a variety of compact, but found the Lumix always best (TZ5 and TZ7). TZ7 I sold because I wanted to have the latest model, so TZ10. Was initially disappointed. Images ok, but no Aha experience. And 7 I was better because crisper and sharper. Until I read in a forum that you can adjust the noise reduction to -2 MUST, otherwise Details are weggebügelt and the typical Lumix would Knack Focus missing. And? Yes! This is necessarily so adjust. Who the images are then sharp and crisp, can go to -1. But factory setting 0 is indeed OK, but not if you know the previous models. Then just missing something. All other settings are a matter of taste. My Recommendation: Basic setting standard Saturation +1 (or if you like colorful saturation +2 or basic setting warm and then but saturation to 0) Sharpness +1 Contrast: -1 or 0 Noise Reduction -2 or -1 (a must, has nothing to do with taste)
Then it will work and everyone who my TZ5 or 7 would be better to be safe again to think about it (could at TZ5 and 7 and had to adjust to anything)
