I have long been waiting for the delivery of this new Micros and "snatched" one of the first 100 delivered to Germany Micros. In preparation for a holiday trip to the Galapagos Islands, I wanted the best stereo sound on my Canon 600D. The Micro is not small and falls in aufgesetzem windshield (necessarily buy) almost always on. Curious requests are accurate. For sound: initially disappointed - noise. But that was not at the Canon 600D, which probably signals the Micros properly processed. Found on the homepage of Rode in the FAQ and then found the right attitude. At the micro switch to +20 dB of boost and on the 600D to manual audio control. A bit try - indeed depends on the ambient volume. What can I say - Crystal clear sound on both channels. As if you were in the middle. No noise. Have about 5 hours of video "shot" in the Galapagos. Am thrilled. Better it does not go well on the 600D. For other cameras, I can not say anything. The Micro I can only recommend - especially as I am got by with a 9-volt block battery and still "juice" as is.
