Well so what! By chance I recently came here on a Japanese musician who is not really a true newcomer more. Since about 5 years already it is known in Europe - and even longer it is celebrated in Japan and in the US as a virtuoso jazz pianist. And it is immediately clear why this is: Obvious play and experimentation it combines with unique precision and expressiveness. Thus, supported by excellent partners (Kendrick Scott dr, Vicente Archer b), also emerged with "Abyss" a strong and varied CD, which incidentally is also of high quality recording.
Although I do not want to weigh against Gulda or Hancock Yamanaka, so I can recommend this CD to all who appreciate the instrumental-mainstream, but not shy away from the avant-garde.
Chihiro Yamanaka has made me with this CD to their fans! Too bad that it's so difficult to get to more of her ...
