Between two concepts / ambitious rock operas, The Who produced an album of songs beast. An album of songs beast? When it comes to evoke the enormous Who's Next is a very British understatement in question because, obviously, this legendary album to the equally legendary pocket (Mr. Kubrick, The Who greet you well ) is much more than that! Already because there are four huge songs from past to posterity and rightly regarded as classics of the legendary training: Baba O'Riley course with its synthetic sequencing of introduction (see the documentary on the album for the method Townshend used by), the monumental and almost progressive The Song Is Over, which was to close the rock opera The Who worked on which (Lifehouse, Pete retoquera for its Psychoderelict 1993) are admirably doing well out of context, out concept, Behind Blue Eyes famous with its first part all carefully before takeoff beautiful well boosted by badaboums of Mr. Moon and exquisite vocal performance of Daltrey who knows how to move without the pathos, of course, the enormous, the immense, most Will not Get Fooled Again that sees four British atop their hard-rockant art. But that's not all, the rest of the original album, five songs then, being a perfect complement the above with even an excellent way of Entwistle (My Wife), plus four others, a tad below detailed classic immense highest quality but to swoon every rock band who respects. In short, not a perfect album (it does not exist) but almost. And all this excellently produced by the band under the benevolent supervision of a Townshend who, if he has this time abandoned his conceptual ambitions, did not lost its eloquence. Plus bonuses that are a pleasure to hear the remastered reissue (Pure and Easy! I Do not Even Know Myself, just for the two of them ...), Who's Next is a huge cake that any fan of rock end and must possess strong and even, possibly, in its Deluxe version complete with a nice live as known in the lay-notch performers. The Who in 1971? The large class, period.
