Since the internal sensor of the compressor cooling is housed directly in the heat exchanger in the unit can be the termperature in the aquarium not control properly. The heat exchanger cools more rapidly than the water in the basin and turn off the compressor, as the measured temperature in exchanger already the same as that set. After a short time the heat exchanger is heated by the aquarium water again and the compressor is switched on again. This repeats itself over and over again and for the chiller anything but good (going to the extreme durability of the compressor).
This problem has in my experience all cooling units, regardless of the manufacturer where the sensor is housed in the unit. There are hardly any devices with an external temperature sensor.
Therefore, I looked for a solution to control the radiator externally.
This works with this control perfectly. Simply power up the device with a 220 / 240V source and control the chiller via the integrated cooling relay. Place the external sensor (plastic!) Into the basin and adjust the control.
So it is possible the pool perfect jumps to cool and the unit so only every 2 hours (0.5 degree differential gap set). The control unit has two relays (one for cooling and one for heating), each with 10A (2400W).
This controller is better than many similar because it has a plastic sensor case, stronger relays with 10A instead of 5A and the temperature control is adjustable to 0.1 degrees instead of 1 degree. Switching differential can be precisely adjusted to 0.1 degrees. The sensor can also be calibrated (but was not necessary since exactly!).
The only negative is the lack of the alarm unit, and the lack of internal ground (control unit has no ground connection).
Furthermore, the device must be accommodated in a housing and the connection should be performed by a qualified electrician. Grounding should be carried out to the switched outlets regardless of the device!
Specifying 10A applies probably only for resistive loads! Since compressors and motors but generate inductive load, no devices with more than 3A starting current should be switched! Dear can install a contactor in addition by an expert on security, for example.
