So you can fit an SSD where normally 3.5-inch hard drives fit, the holes for the screws must have the exact size, as are present in hard disks mentioned. My case has namely for special types of screws, which are necessary because of the built-in vibration isolation - in hard drives fit this - in this context not. I have the frame then secured with Tesa Power Strip. This would have been possible with the SSD without frame. The Power Adapter Cable (PATA> SATA) was inferior - when attaching one of the mating contacts was forced out of the plug housing. Luckily I had an equivalent in the hand that is not broke during insertion.
