The positive side:
It is clear that with the Maxtra filtered water is no reason for complaint. Even extremely sensitive teas or coffee taste so properly. Even drunk pure can convince the order "clarified" water.
Less convincing aspects:
It is also clear that the price of a new cartridge is much higher than that for the filters of the Classic series. The quality of the filtered water is better, can perhaps in the laboratory, but not determined by the end user. Even with water that is processed by the extremely complex ion filter systems as Porolux, this is no different.
So you can basically ask how much effort with such Wasserrfilterung is at all meaningful. The only marginally. Whether the water is thus actually better can ultimately hardly answer.
Far more incomprehensible is that there are no refills for this system, as they are known from the Classic series.
Due to the significantly more complex construction of the filter, it is also questionable whether a refill is here at all possible.
This creates a lot of unnecessary waste. Something these days in my opinion, who wants to be a pioneer in this segment with a manufacturer, actually inaktzeptabel.
Conclusion:
Despite impeccable quality and functionality of the Maxtra due to the compared to the classical filtering Britta not noticeably improved water quality, but especially because of the significantly higher price unconvincing.
In addition, the amount of waste increased considerably in the absence of Nachfüllungsmöglichkeit.
