The first Tamron 70-200 2.8 that I had made great pictures right away. Contrary to many statements, the AF would be inaccurate and too slow, which was not an issue in my case. The images were super sharp and the speed of the AF's handed me only once, because I did not want to use it for sport photography.
In the first long-term use, however, I had the first problem. The lens ever adopted by my camera. It entered the error message "no lens". The lens had the bayonet too big a game and therefore lost between every now and again the contact with the camera. After turn off then on the camera, the problem was solved. Only it was troublesome in the long run. Every few minutes, pull off this procedure, so I decided to call and check with Tamron. There you share with me, I will send in the lens. A Disaster! Almost all the images were blurred, never has the AF sat where it should. The focus point was always in another place, as I had given him. What can I say? All good things come in threes! The third Tamron works finally reliable.
The images are a few exceptions (slight camera shake because no VR) super, just like I have dreamed.
The only drawback: As described, the AF is really somewhat slower than I was used to with my Nikon lenses it. Fast action, galloping children or even in animals, moving toward the photographer of AF is usually not. Here you simply have too much waste.
Since I photograph mostly in zoos, where most of the animals rather move "controlled" but that is no problem. The vast majority of shots are really very good.
I highly recommend this lens caused because I now times simply go out of it, which are still more lenses in circulation, could make the problems than the two that I had.
