To make a long story short, I did it ... and I'm glad I did it!
I'm used often and a lot with the professional EOS Canon devices on the go and therefore think that I know roughly how a photo has to work. Was interesting to now the test, the small G1X take Mark II and at every opportunity to test and to compare the results later with the DSLRs.
The image quality of the G1X Mark II is really great and I played in the professional league. I was very surprised and excited at the same time, what made the little camera to come out (no matter the 5D MK3 they do not put in the bag, but still).
The light sensitivity is very good and the noise is to remember only in the high ISO areas or disturbing to report.
One of the main reasons for me was indeed the shutter lag the G1X, what bothered me at Vorgänermodell. Here the G1X MarkII is completely different and very good. Once sighted and pulled the trigger, loosely from the wrist - the shot sitting! SUPER.
As you can read so I'm really pleased with the new camera and she is or is now my "take-along" camera.
What bothers me about the follow-up model, is the one of extreme battery consumption and actually a lot worse, the constant adjustment of Programmwählrades. You put the camera in your pocket, it later gets out quickly to take a few pictures and it discovers that almost every time the program selector is turned.
This really is not good and has brought me several times to curse. One problem, which I do not know from the previous model!
But everything else well, I can recommend the camera to anyone who wants a good, small camera in this price range.
