The "downsizing" of various game subtleties affects in most cases positive. Here the changes at a glance:
- Equipping the soldiers has been greatly simplified, so can not any pocket of soldiers are crammed with ammunition or shells (ammunition primary weapon is basically infinite provided). This may sound strange and the game "unworthy", but works fine and is not significant. I find it even better, the permanent purchase of ammunition, I found a little tiring in the long run.
- The cards are not randomly generated. This is in my opinion the only real negative aspect of the game. In principle, I feel "random" of all kinds, important to the replayability of computer and console games; X-Com would have been really obligatory. Instead, the cards actually repeat from time to time and see while still pending so, as if they were generated randomly. This means in plain text: The graphics cards and build around acting pretty and tailored the game, but had, in my view certainly have to suffer almost loss points, they would "randomly generated" originated ... As I said, the only real point of criticism. Offer more downloadable maps, more, more, more ....: Urgent appeal to the makers of the game
- It has only one home-based. But is perfectly adequate, its interceptor can still deploy worldwide. The home base is, however, no longer be attacked ... does not fall into the negative weight.
- The graphics of the base, the general total exciting atmosphere adapts well, that makes me (just like in the old times) somehow always cringe "Scan" by Alien activities - everything seems permanently threatening and somehow scary.
- The understated comic style of tactical fights is probably exactly what would make the original makers of the first X-Com game.
- The cards are designed to be smaller and more manageable. Some game details are immediately dropped me in the eye and had positive the original certainly done well. The jumping through windows, the doors, or break down a carefully opening the doors, the climb up ladders and gutters (or whatever it's called, anyway?) Is fun and looks simply realistic. Not to mention the destructible environment.
Overall, there is at X-COM absolute addictiveness, rarely took me a game so drawn in the last 5 years in his spell like this .... It could have been much much much longer to break down ... That would really be a game in which I would be immediately "premium customers" ...
PS: Striking I feel that I have mastered easily many battles during the first play, but at the same time got into ever greater difficulties with the supporters countries. Somehow, the game balance seems to have been not matched 100% adequate.
