I enjoyed his wheel vibration screening rates (1-6). So I can adjust its intensity from 7,000 to 12,000 revolutions / min or 14,000 to 24,000 rev / min (a nice depending on material and working conditions of execution). The noise levels of the tool are 82 dB sound pressure and sound intensity of 93 dB, when it is used as wearing hearing protection is desirable, and a pair of goggles and a respirator (FFP2 standard), to guard against the danger of dust (some from woods like oak or beech, etc.) are considered as carcinogenic, especially when combined with additives commonly used for the treatment of wood (chromate, wood stain).
To preserve life longevity of this tool, I recommend to keep regular working pressure for indeed, as also recalls the BOSCH Manufacturer: too excessive pressure on the tool does not improve power sanding but considerably increases its wear and that of the abrasive sheet. Unfortunately I made the bad experience with my last ... sander BOSCH, who passed away!
Goodies: its softgrip, its box dust filling microfilter, its double fixing the sanding sheet system that offers two great opportunities, either by micro-fastening system or by allowing the use of calipers sanding sheets in various formats: 93X185 or 93X230 (an interesting choice of use).
Small least:
- The ability of microfilter housing of dust filling, which I consider too narrow and that forces you to too frequent flushes.
- A certain difficulty in maintaining its dust filling box secured to the tool (due to normal vibration) when the sander working on a sufficient slope and at high speed.
Conclusion: This model sander is ideal and simple enough to happiness handyman that I am, to perform safely manual tasks for which it was designed and that I needed him (gate, cottage, window, bench, restoration small furniture, etc.). Its pretty competitive price is a valid argument to remember. And it's so pleasant and rewarding to do by oneself some manual work accessible to all.
