Here are 18 tracks on the CD, the beginning makes "Warriors Of The North" by Amon Amarth. The piece has no fewer than 8.13 minutes and appears on the Northmen-DVD as a music video with scenes from the movie. Amon Amarth is not really my thing, but this song, maybe because I've seen the video, I find really good. The lead singer of Amon Amarth with its grater-voice plays at the beginning of the movie "Northmen" incidentally quite bulky even with. Short, but great. The first track has really said what and how, actually is not quite my music. Track 2 is a short prologue, dark soft music with a spoken intro by Ken Duken, in the film he plays the archer. Track 3 is the actual Northmen -Theme, only 1.47 minutes long, but one of the best tracks on the disc. It comes in the following tracks repeatedly at certain points through, just a brilliant melody. The following 14 tracks give then excellent again the plot and the events of the film. At times calm, but never lame or boring, then again powerful and dynamic. The movie sparing despite the quieter places with the dialogues not with fast-paced action and bombastic scenes. The tracks thus always have a more or less pronounced epic breadth. For film music-lover, even though they may not like the movie, I would like to recommend the soundtrack to "Northmen" well, at least those who are on massive medieval tones. Who is unsure of / can indeed once watch the movie. Those who would have seen the film already know whether you like the soundtrack or not. And I would like to caution the lovers of pure medieval music guess, this is the soundtrack to a "brute film"! Here there is not as medieval Poss pieces or dance tunes. Certainly this soundtrack is not for everyone.
The track 17, "The Big Jump", set to music, the point of the film to the jump the Northmen of the cliff and then escape with the help of a boat.
Track 18, "Monsters Blood -Gunnars Song" is then again a short epilogue spoken accompanied by somber tones.
Conclusion: A really successful soundtrack to a film that's going really, no matter how you may otherwise also evaluate the film. But say that intrinsically in his own way, certainly not suitable for everyone. Listen Just have a look at Amazon or YouTube and form your opinion. I like both the film as well as the soundtrack. Here I speak of a recommendation for fans and give stars.
