Since December 18 there for the Repeater FRITZ! OS in version 6.20.
I noticed is the following problem:
A channel from AVM Repeater chosen which however is occupied with me already from other wireless devices - will "automatically translated" in radio channel settings selected, will - automatically! This even though plenty of other free channels had been available !!

Connection problems with repeater

Upon delivery the FRITZ! OS 06:10 I had build desöftern issues a connection between the PC and repeater with a network cable. Since updating to 6:11 and 6:12 this problem is no longer made its appearance.

The settings of the repeater can be - via a network connection with this and type of fritz.repeater browser + password - ME to make intuitive and self-explanatory. The menu is concise.
Modes "LAN Bridge" + "wireless bridge"

In the menu, the operating mode
- "LAN Bridge" - Repeater is connected to the router via a LAN cable and can radiate this out via WLAN - or
- "Wireless bridge" - Repeater is connected to the router via wireless and network devices can be connected both via a network cable and WLAN with this -

- For both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz for the wireless frequency band, an individual name can be assigned so that is easily recognizable, with what frequency band you are connected. This is at the AVM system 7490 not possible !!
CAUTION:
The base station must be set to WPA2 / WPA encryption and new wireless devices must be approved in the base station, otherwise it does not work !!
The following connection options for the choice of frequency bands between the base station repeater device:
- Frequency bands flexible use ---> It will be automatically selected the optimum frequency band settings for the current transfer situation.
- Cross Ribbon Repeating ---> If, for example, the 2.4 GHz for the connection - Base Station Repeater - Repeater device - - used, so the 5 GHz for the connection is automatically used.
- Frequency band maintained ---> It is the same frequency band for both the connection - Base Station Repeater - as well as the connection - terminal repeater - used.

Currently the repeater is used by me as a "LAN-Bridge" since m. E. should be removed after the repeater no more than 5 m and 1 floor of the "source" in order to achieve a good speed even in the 5 GHz range.
