Pierre Pelot true jack-of-all literary endeavors by his region: the Vosges.
Writing is an uncommon strength. Pelot and style is incredibly visual. Lorrain myself, after reading this book, I had "flash" every time I was doing a hike in the Vosges, thinking back to scenes from the book, telling me that they could have gone to this place. I never felt that with another book.
I read in an interview that the characters had a moment of writing the novel took a direction that the author had not imagined, as if they were endowed with life. It is perhaps this that makes reading this book a very special moment.
