Now to the actual product:
One thing first: Yes the plastic frame, which is made of polycarbonate, can be easily bend and feels "naked" not particularly wertig on. Everts is this but to the TPU Case is quick advantage of this "hybrid" recognize construction.
Unlike pure TPU cases, the frame prevents premature slipping the envelope. Each one had a simple TPU Case, probably knows what I mean. The assembly is easy and everything is still very firm. There are in my copy Schnitzer or no jagged edges. Very positive is here on the neck to the camera. This is now slightly depressed into the casing, which prevents the glass scratched or otherwise being damaged, for example if you just puts out a smooth surface the phone. As far as I can tell so far, neither the camera itself, nor the lamp LED is impaired.
Overall, I just like the surface finish of the back. It is matt and feels in your hands very high quality at (especially when compared to the battery cover of S4). The polycarbonate frame, however, is a bit slippery. It is not extreme, but you should watch anyway, that the phone does not slide away with damp hands.
The cutouts for the connectors and microphones are precisely and also very clean. However, you should know that not every accessory will fit through the frame height. The opening for the phone jack is written As in another review, for example a bit tight advised which will not fit all headphones. Also fit for me, not all micro-USB connector, the original Samsung plug will fit but of course.
The buttons are extended through "button extensions". The heist they are just as sensitive as before, if not even a little more sensitive. Plotting the phone often in your pocket could be a problem since even slight touches the display is activated. What bothers me is also that they are chromed. This one now has 3 colors on the device (yes I know, also the home button and the speakers are chrome) and it disturbs somewhat minimalist style. In addition, the buttons have a little air -> ie the power button wobbles slightly.
Last but not least to protect a very small "lip" the front of the S4. This is kept quite narrow for design reasons, this means that they will provide sufficient protection only at very flat surfaces. So you need a particularly high level of protection, you should buy another case.
Here briefly the pros and cons:
+ Perfect fit & high quality finish
+ Basic all-round protection
+ Extremely slim -> the device is not much thicker
+ Frame prevents slipping of TPU Case
- / + "Iphone" feel (a little optics)
- Not every accessory is compatible (VA headphones)
- Chrome buttons are not on the same level with the rest of & something "hypersensitive"
- Protection may not be sufficient for everyone
- Price a bit high compared to the competition
Conclusion:
Who wants to have a really nice and timeless (except for the chrome accents) Case, which in addition offers a basic protection, is right here. But you should not forget that the S4 a "Iphone" feel gets. Say the flat back is good to get it to lay on a table, for example, interferes with, however minimal in the actual handling (especially small hands).
PS .: So far, the case still no scratches and the back shows itself insensitive. Should this situation change, I'll update this review.
