The Logitech M560 white of the molding to please and is also good in or under the hand. The USB receiver is tiny and consumes significantly less space than be in my view disappointing Microsoft Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop Keyboard Pedant 5000 Keyboard and Mouse Cordless black / silver (German keyboard layout, QWERTY).
Less I liked the little meaningful Installation Guide. While describing this in simple images, how the mouse with the supplied receiver installed the so-called Unifying that allows up to six input devices to the same receiver, there is scant or no concrete information.
For those who want the long search to spare, here is a brief guide for subsequent register an additional input devices:
- Initially both receivers are plugged into the PC or laptop, the computer recognizes the new devices pair automatically
- From the Logitech website (current version 6.61) has to be downloaded and installed that program SetPoint
- Start SetPoint, the program itself noticed that several receivers are connected via USB and asks to remove a USB receiver
- The input device (keyboard, mouse, etc.) to which the above remote USB receiver belongs, must off and then turned on again done!
- This can be combined with up to four other devices (maximum of 6 are possible) repeat.
- The superfluous USB receiver is in the battery compartment its slot.
Here my conclusion:
GOOD:
- Pleasant shape
- Perfect workmanship
- Meaningful modifier keys (Windows 8 key, two quick-buttons for the thumb)
Needs improvement:
- Installation instructions for Unifying (Mapping New Devices to USB receiver)
- Scrolling speed is not as high as promised (rather sedate)
In sum of all aspects and compared to other wireless mice I still think big four Amazon Stars appropriate.
