I have flirted with buying a tablet for months and researched therefore on various internet sites and forums for a suitable device for me. As a user of an Android smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S), it was actually encouraged to take an Android tablet, if only because of previously purchased apps. As a satisfied Samsung customer was interested in the Galaxy Tab 10.1N of course, very, especially since the display "in a regional electric Specialists the best impression was made with a view test of the Android devices on me. However, it then cost about as much as the new Ipad (about 480 for the 16GB WiFi version), which was then but a bit better I liked the display and on the materials used here. The Android tablets from other manufacturers in the upper price segment such as Asus and Toshiba comparable cost much, the cheaper models such as Acer or Huawei were or are either not available (for example, the Acer Iconia A510) or had some properties that are not pledged to me. So I tended for some time to buy a new iPad, even if their me Company policy not promises on all restrictions and your Klagewut. By chance, I learned the end of May from the media market advertising of the new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the very tempting offer price of about 370.-. I then read some short tests on American and German websites, the results tend to be rather average failed. Mainly there were complaints that there were no significant changes compared to its predecessor. After the first reviews were positive but rather here on Amazon, I've just decided then ordered me, however, an exception with another provider because Amazon did not have it available. For 1,5 weeks, I am now the owner of the Galaxy Tabs 2 and have plus the original Dairy Bag by Samsung (is actually the version of its predecessor, but also fits the Galaxy Tab 2 like a glove), a 32GB micro SD card from SanDisk and the original Samsung Adapter for USB and SD card. So far I'm very pleased and regret my choice is not absolute. The unit is relatively light and fits comfortably in the hand when the sensitivity with the plastic used is not quite as high as that of the Ipad. The display is highly luminous, clear and has a pretty large viewing angle. The touch screen responds quickly and reliably. Even changing the home screen and launch apps running quite smoothly, only if you have too many applications running at the same time has a minimum delay noticeable. It is advisable, from time to unneeded apps via the multitasking button on ICS (Android 4) to close. Looking at larger movie files in the HD format I have not yet been tested, so I can not stutter say whether this stutter or not. The battery lasts about 6-7 hours of continuous use and loads complete in about 4-5 hours. The sound playback, I feel, given the maximum design size of the speakers as well, but I have no real comparison. The 32GB micro SD card was detected immediately and runs without any problems since then. The two adapters for regular SD cards and USB sticks are recognized immediately (or the associated storage medium), it opens automatically after connecting the File Manager. Wifi was very quick to set up, had been similar no problems with disconnects Even have a faster connection than with my notebook. I had some concerns that older apps quite modest "appearance due to the lower resolution, however, this was not yet the case with me. However, I must say that also do not run all the apps on the Galaxy Tab 2, I on the Galaxy S have. The only real criticism would be the matter of the very short charging cables that have already criticized some other reviewers. Overall, I'm from the value for money very satisfied with the Galaxy Tab 2 10.0 and can recommend it with a clear conscience. LG, Tom
