I opted for this device after my first Panasonic Home Theater System and then my system from Philips have given up the ghost (both times the DVD player). That's why I wanted this time a system with optical input, so that when the next time the DVD player gives up the ghost, I can simply plug in a new one at the facility. And as this complex is ideal; by the optical input, the digital audio signal are taken without loss where it is then decoded in Samsung and is output as a true Dolby 5.1 signal or DTS. This is ever good, and also the power and the sound quality is excellent for a mid-range device - which could keep any of my previous systems, and who have tasted all together a lot more! The design is very nice, the image quality and playback options (DivX, MP3, WMA, WMV probably (wherein the non-Nocht works for me has !!), and that too via USB !!) are exemplary. Unfortunately, the device has some weaknesses in the operation: For example, the device assigns us seems completely arbitrary to MP3 files so it plays the files in order completely incomprehensible (for ex: the filenames are named by 01-15, although the player arranges the files as follows: 13-14-15-01-02-03-04-07-08 -..., completely incomprehensible to me, and I have extra again looked to see whether "Random" is disabled). Then I find it very regrettable that the sound profiles can not be combined. I can something like "Pop, Jazz, Rock, ..." only on stereo sources to apply, and even if Dolby Prologic II is disabled. So I need to either sound from all speakers or for more powerful sound etc. decide. Also, the system does not store CDs at the time of reproduction, if you press the "Stop" button - it can only DVD !! Which in itself would be no problem when the player would change a CD in the pause mode after about 5 minutes not automatically go into stop mode - so I have to start over again from new the play if I had time to make longer pause ... Very pity !!
But I regret buying wg. such trifles, of course not, especially since the device without any problems with the following code Regional code is freely switchable (very important for me !!):
- Turn off the power (no media) - Wait 30 seconds ca - Turn on the unit again - Wait until the display shows "No Disc" appears - Press on the remote control, press the "Enter" Press the "8", "4", "2", "6" keys "9" - - Press the button "Enter" - The device should turn off automatically now - Turn on the device - Open the disc tray - Close the disc tray
The connectivity options are enough for me (once AUX back once the front, USB, Optical - enough for me, though not too plentiful). Who now wants to buy the unit, and who is not, everyone must make for themselves - I did not regret it!
