Now concerning this product. After much back and forth I have bought this device, because the positive opinions sounded more convincing than the few negative voices. When he arrived I was speechless. Is it bigger than the competition. But fits very well even with limited space, as it barely protrudes backwards. The only drawback: you can only stand him so, as seen in the pictures. So edgewise or Seitkant not go, then he falls over or the cable is in the way. The cable has fallen quite short, so if you have a few outlets in the kitchen, is cursing because ...
I opted for the model with the only sandwich panels, because I have several waffle iron still and could not do anything with the French sandwiches (and because the price is lower by 40). Now the part is for about 1 month in use. It toasts everything away. I have not yet found the perfect toast. So far, all of them were too small! Even Harry Sammy's Super Sandwich. Sometimes I think the use of the French (3 shared) Sandwiches is designed for small / normal toast the ideal solution.
But the biggest difference to the others I tested sandwich makers is the "Durchhitzung" toast. When Billigteil (Rossmann) only the bread from the outside was warm, there is indeed not much. The Moulinexteil was to use only thin slices and had a bit more heat - but the Cuisinart is here a completely different league. I toast only "Level" 1 (ie bottom center) and everything is after 3 minutes. The salmon sandwich was even! In salami / ham and cheese a nice, uniform heating / fusion can be observed. If you want a crispy, brown bread crust, one should pay attention to the manufacturer's information, which for a brushing on the plates with butter proposing or even very "fat" butter toast (my favorite bakery has since just the right dough, a bit too small slices) use.
Cleaning is a breeze. Plates out, warm water and wipe with a cloth over it again, dry, clean plates - finished. Some people here complained about the loose fit. For me, this is not a defect. Yes, the plates are loose. They can move a few millimeters, but they do not fall out. In a pinch, you can also bring this little metal "spring" at the back of the plates by means of the screw mounted there in a different position, so as to get a tighter fit. Whether this is really necessary, but I doubt it. Before (then please do not - otherwise you will burn your fingers) you turn on the device, press / move to the plates closed halt centered over each other, then everything fits.
I would buy the device again (probably then with the two other removable disks). It makes a very robust impression and "swallows" effortlessly very large disks, which can be rich is sometimes.
