With significant improvements over older models

We have about 3 years ago, the model Saeco HD8944 get (according to statistics approximately 3,000 cups). I want to emphasize that this machine so far worked perfectly and had only a few small problems, but they were eliminated with the new model offered here. Below I go me a major problem and the improvements in the HD9712.

But now the new HD9712.
With a second person can unpack the machine well. Here many small polystyrene balls fly around (available later then also throughout the body and even the inside of the machine). Why is the machine not completely tütet a?

Instruction manual has become much shorter and they no longer describe individual maintenance in detail because that yes implements the machine itself with the display super. Unfortunately, everything is still very confusing in the printed version, as is working with several languages. An 8-page booklet in German language should not be too much asking but at this luxury model.

The machine makes a high quality impression. Beautiful chrome parts and the control buttons work well. However, my display with touch function on the HD8944 has better liked because you could hold the line better clean. The display on the HD9712 is now moved slightly forward, seems a bit clunky at first glance, but you get used to it certainly. Furthermore, additional control buttons have been added, but simplify the handling per se. The display converts these buttons to the necessary functions.

Otherwise, has not changed in the new model much. Apparently, the internal technology is even remained the same. Behind the front door everything looks the same as in the old HD8944.

Here are a few important features:
- In the height should allow the machine at least 65cm square, otherwise the water tank can not be removed (under wall cabinets can there ever be closely). But there is also the possibility of the water tank with a measuring cup (not supplied) to fill, so we always do, because it's much easier.
- The water filter we do not use (our water is very soft). Thus, the volume of the water tank is increased to a total of 1.5 liters.
- Really everything you can adjust. The amount of the beans, the milk of the water and the relationship. Freeness and temperatures.
- The cover of the bean compartment has a seal. So maintaining flavor.

Here are a few points that did not like me:
- The steam nozzle is very loud, almost unbearable. But we almost never use, and therefore this function is not so important for us.
- The area where you plan presents the cups, scratched very quickly.
- In the beginning all the components are very confusing, especially when you then have to install to the right places. But you have to get out at the third cleaning.

And now two problem improvements to the new HD9712.

Problem 1 for HD8944: The drip tray behind the front cover had distance buffer made of rubber that should go with the times and we had to stick every now and then.
Solution in the new HD9712: The gums were replaced by an all-plastic housing, which is now even dishwasher-safe.

Problem 2 at HD8944: The milk container could be with my big men hands barely clean, especially in the narrow lower part.
Solution in the new HD9712: The milk container is still the same size, but can now be cleaned in the dishwasher.

So and now something else to taste. It's always a matter of beans and the milk that is used. We accept Cafe Crema (offer the kilo so for 10 euros) and long-life milk (not the cheapest). With the right settings we met exactly our taste and love this coffee (mostly latte macchiato or cappuccino). A really taste difference to the cafe in the pedestrian area we can not make out. What really should speak for the good quality. If the foam times do not work so well or quickly disappear, which is on the long-life milk. We have for some time always uses the same milk until this problem occurred. Then we changed producers and everything was back to normal. This problem is not produced by the machine.

Conclusion: Great machine with some improvements. As you can see, that the manufacturer read our reviews and also know where the problems lie. The Saeco Incanto Executive is almost perfect. Can we indeed expect for the price also. But the named Cafe around the corner does a cup of already 3.20 euros (during the Saeco is priced at about 50 cents per cup), of course, without the cost of the machine, but to the three years probably should more than pay for themselves ,
