The system of ZENS works perfectly in conjunction with the Galaxy S3 (even after changing of Ice Sandwich 4.0.1 to now Jelly Bean 4.1.1).
Installation is easy and takes just 1 minute.
Just the battery cover on the Galaxy S3 against the exchange of ZENS connecting induction charger into a wall socket, ready!
As soon as the phone rests on the charger, appears after 1-2 seconds on the phone display to confirm that the load is in progress.
In the charging time compared to the original charger, I could not detect any significant difference.
Case / Cover, regardless of the material must be removed before charging.
The charger looks elegant, is well made and the charging process is indicated by a blue LED on the charging pad.
Just as with the original charger signals the Galaxy S3 by the red LED charging or by the green LED,
when it is fully charged.
A 1/2 point deduction I give for the different level of Zen battery compartment cover, because it is slightly thicker
than the original from Samsung and also does not correspond entirely to the product description here at Amazon, which reads as follows:
"White, the included battery cover with integrated Qi technology for S3 - replaces the original S3 battery cover 1: 1 in optics & feel"
1: 1 in the optics? Yes and no!
The color corresponds to the white of Samsung, the "Samsung" lettering, as we know it from the original, shall be replaced with the "ZENS" lettering.
(Goes but from the product photo and clear so forth!).
1: 1 in the haptics? Yes and no!
Also part of the feel for me the measure and the weight of the lid.
And that gives way, with about 1 mm more from the depth, from the original.
But the material corresponds to the original and the mobile phone is so still comfortable to hold, even if it now, due to the additional components of the Qi technology,
is slightly heavier.
Now many will say: "1 mm more, that's whining at a high level!"
Who but a car cradle, like me, has from Brodit, or other manufacturers who make their holders to size for the S3
and Galaxy S3 is not used in conjunction with a universally adjustable holder, here gets a problem.
In my Brodithalterung the S3 now fits only halfway into the mount, but still provides enough grip, now looks just a bit weird.
However, the fit of the various cases / cover made of silicone, which has my daughter for their Galaxy S3, it has no effect.
Due to the flexible material of the cases, this match still, which I, however, this statement can not generalize on the brands from all manufacturers.
Owner of the Galaxy S3 in the color "pebble blue" remain currently currently outside, since both the lid separately and the set currently offered only with white lid.
