There is nothing new, what is sold here as Anime and geared to a comic role model. A pirate who allegedly fighting for humanity, flying with a comical skull spaceship with lots of smoke through space and rams, as at that time the ships of antiquity, the opponent into the ground. The term "Space Pirate" is probably based on the Corsair romance of sailing. Much ado about nothing. The relationships are not particularly profound and the plot threads are predictable. Actually there are no aliens and then again. Rather confused as entertaining. Well! Mostly, anyway. Something for hardcore fans who like to chug along with a "black matter steam" spitting Space locomotive through space and enjoy more of the optics than on content. Technically however, it is pretty neat. Conclusion: I think manga comics are mostly boring and before the films are with few exceptions not any better. Even at the risk, the die-hard fans are outraged now, m. E. this film is not good ..
