100% premium UV filter

That reminds me of my protective lenses is very important, I have given some thought to what brand I buy the UV filter to screw on it to protect the lens in front of it? When I had ransacked some forums on the subject, I came to the B + W UV HAZE filter (77mm MRC Nano XS-PRO digital).
The question arises: Is it worth so much money for a filter output, which actually has only a protective function?
