Got my iPod Classic and measured without the protective cover and then this holder appointed by Brodit. The iPod may have the manufacturer's instructions so or so fit. Without sheath it was me then but too shaky, so the jacket is now on it and the iPod is seated firmly in Brodit holder in my glove compartment.
The holder has a ball joint on the back. This I did, however, removed for lack of space and the holder bolted directly.
